Washington on the Move: The Architecture of Transportation in the Capital Region

Washington on the Move: The Architecture of Transportation in the Capital Region is the subject of the biennial symposium of the Latrobe Chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians.
 It is being held Saturday, March 7, at the University of Maryland, College Park with a tour of areas sites the following day. 

This symposium will look at: some of the engineering and architecture that facilitated the movement of goods and people, development that was influenced by a relationship to transportation, and the effect of government policies on transportation related projects.
