Looking Forward to Buffalo

As we begin to plan for the 2013 SAH Annual Conference in Buffalo, I would like to share what makes Buffalo a great destination for SAH as well as what we have to look forward to in the conference schedule. The annual conference will convene in April 2013 on the eastern shore of Lake Erie in Buffalo, New York, a city that owes its initial prosperity to the completion of the western extension of the Erie Canal in 1825. By 1900, Buffalo was the eighth largest city in the United States and its economic prosperity contributed to the creation of a rich and varied architectural landscape. Read More


SAH Launches SAH Archipedia - One Month Full Access
SAH announces the launch of SAH Archipedia, a media-rich online publication developed in collaboration with the University of Virginia Press. For the month of October, SAH Archipedia will feature a special promotion – public access to the full content of the site without a subscription. SAH members enjoy full access as a benefit of membership. SAH Archipedia offers a comprehensive view of some of the most notable architecture in the United States. Read More

On November 10, 2012, SAH will welcome members, friends and the Chicago architectural community for a festive evening of awards and celebration. Second Tour to Cuba
Due to the unprecedented demand for space on the Cuba tour, scheduled for December 2012, we had enough names on the waiting list to almost fill a second tour. The second tour will be in May of 2013 and will follow the same itinerary led by Belmont Freeman. We are most grateful to Belmont for clearing his busy calendar to lead this additional tour for our valued SAH members. Read More
