Adrian Smith’s extraordinary body of work includes some of today’s most recognizable landmarks such as the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai and Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, currently the tallest building in the world.
Smith’s practice is defined by the belief that architecture has a unique power to influence our world. Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture is dedicated to the creation of new paradigms for sustainable development. Smith is the mastermind behind an impressive list of projects such as Dancing Dragons, a twin tower scheme in Seoul that redefines super tall residential typologies; the Willis Tower Greening Project + Hotel, designed to reduce energy consumption at Chicago’s former Sears tower; and what will be the world’s first net zero-energy skyscraper, Pearl River Tower, in Guangzhou, China.
Don't miss this opportunity to hear Adrian Smith speak on “Supertall Towers & Green Cities” at the 2013 Thinking into the Future: The Robie House Series on Architecture, Design and Ideas.
