Cultural Landscape Report Course on-line & on site: Malta
The Landscape Institute at Boston Architectural College is offering an 8 week, 3 credit online course on preparing a Cultural Landscape Report, as part of its Landscape Preservation curriculum.
The Cultural Landscape Report is an important tool for landscape preservation planning. This course provides students with a working knowledge of the methods and approaches for producing cultural landscape reports. Using the site of the Villa Bologna in Malta, a significant eighteenth century Baroque villa, students will conduct on-site historic research, document existing site conditions, and create period plans, historic narratives, determine character-defining features of the landscape, and generate goals/priorities for the continued preservation of the landscape to accommodate future uses of the property.
The course is open to undergraduate or graduate students, as well to professionals seeking CEUs or certificate credit. (AIA, RIBA, APLD).
A deposit of $700 is required to reserve a space: due by March 28, 2014.
