This conference will focus its attention into nine research subjects applied to the
relationships between architecture, education and society. These nine topics will be
distributed into three research settings: A. The education settings, B. The professional
settings and C. The social interactive settings. Each of these nine topics will be
developed in a special issue of the International Journal Arquitectonics in the next
future (1). Deep changes in the physical, social and cultural general conditions of
humanity, challenge architects, and all disciplines related to architecture in one way or
another, to do interdisciplinary research and, simultaneously, to work for the
refoundation of the own disciplines, a double and difficult exercise that is, anyway,
