Membership Changes

All members will continue to receive membership services and access to SAH online resources for a full 12 months.  

This change is now in effect for anyone joining SAH or renewing their membership. For those who would normally renew in the fall for the next year, 12 months will be added to your expiration date at the time of renewal. For example, if your membership expires on 12/31/2012, and you renew on October 15, 2012, your new expiration date will be 12/31/2013.

We are fortunate that our new membership software will be able to handle these “rolling renewals.” Other benefits from this system include the option to automatically renew for subsequent years by credit card and a more advanced membership section of the SAH website (launching September 26th). New features on the website will include the ability to see all of your membership information in one place, update your contact information, add a seasonal address, and see your payment record. You will also be able to create a more complete profile. We will have an online Member Directory that will list your basic contact information. Following the launch of the website, we will be arranging for a single sign-on for all SAH services, which will mean no more multiple user IDs and passwords for different services. This is the most significant improvement we could have made for our members, and we hope this will vastly improve your SAH online experience.

The Executive Committee has also approved a slight dues increase for the 2013 fiscal year. All membership categories will increase by a very modest $5.00 per individual. Every year for the past four years, SAH has launched another new resource for your benefit – SAHARA image archive (2009), JSAH Online (2010), SAH Communities (2011), and SAH Archipedia (Oct 2012). We hope you will continue to value your membership in SAH as much as we value your involvement and support.
