2013 SAH Fellows Announced at Annual Conference in Buffalo
At the 66th Annual Awards Ceremony, the Board of Directors named as Fellows of the Society of Architectural Historians the following individuals who have distinguished themselves by a lifetime of significant contributions to the field: Nancy Stieber, Frank Kowsky, Barbara Miller Lane, and Jack Quinan. Their contributions include scholarship, service to SAH, and stewardship of the built environment. 2013 SAH Publication Award Winners Announced
Every year the Society presents six awards to honor the most distinguished publications in architectural history, urban history, landscape history, preservation, and architectural exhibition catalogs that have been published in the previous two years. SAH also presents the Founders' Award for the best JSAH article written by an emerging scholar in the previous two years.

SAH Call for Papers for 67th Conference in Austin, TX
The Society of Architectural Historians is now accepting abstracts for its 67th Annual Conference in Austin, TX, April 9-13, 2014. Please submit abstracts no later than June 1st for one of the 30 thematic sessions or for the open sessions. Sessions have been selected to cover topics across all time periods and architectural styles. SAH encourages submissions from architectural, landscape, and urban historians; museum curators; preservationists; independent scholars; architects; members of partner organizations; and graduate students. Read More.

Hashim Sarkis Lecture on Geo-Architecture
Hashim Sarkis, Harvard GSD, will speak on "Geo-Architecture" on April 17, 6pm, at IIT. This lecture is part of the Chicago Expander at Archeworks program directed by Iker Gil and Antonio Petrov and is co-sponsored by SAH. Read More.

Gifts to SAH Archipedia and Buildings of the United States Publications
In the last year, SAH has received a number of grants for SAH Archipedia and three volumes of the Buildings of the United States series, Buildings of Texas Volume I (2013), Volume II (2016), Buildings of Hawaii (2011), and Buildings of North Dakota (2014). Read More.
 
SAH/Mellon Author Award - Deadline June 1
The SAH/Mellon Author Award is now receiving applications. The award is a temporary measure to provide financial relief to early-career scholars who are publishing monographs on architectural history and the history of the built environment, and who are responsible for paying for rights and permissions for images in their publications. The deadline is June 1, 2013.
