SAH Seeks Information About Members' Slide Collections

SAH is gathering information about our members' 35mm slide collections related to the built environment with the goal of finding a way to preserve them.

We recognize that many such collections are increasingly endangered by loss, environmental damage, or destruction. A study group led by SAH First Vice President Ken Breisch and SAHARA Editors Jacqueline Spafford and Jeffrey Klee has prepared an initial survey to get a better understanding of the variety, size and scope of members' slide collections to help create a plan for preserving valuable and unique materials, and ideally digitizing and sharing them.

Please note that we are interested in original images, produced by you and for which you have use rights.  We are not interested in images from copyrighted sources.  If you do not have a slide collection, but you know someone who has a collection of original images that is at risk, please send them the survey, or fill it out with as much of their information as possible.

If you have a slide collection or know of one that contains images related to the built environment, please take a short survey by December 1, 2013. Click here to access survey.
