Call for Proposals: SAH Open Forum session at CAA in 2014

by Ken Tadashi Oshima | May 09, 2013
As an affiliated society with the College Art Association (CAA), the Society of Architectural Historians is able to sponsor a session at CAA annual meetings.

The goal is two-fold: to provide a forum that will be of particular interest to scholars who belong to both groups and to let other CAA members know about the rich approaches to architectural history they will experience if they join SAH.

The CAA will be accepting 1.5 hour open forum session proposals for the 2014 meeting in Chicago, to be held February 12-15, 2014.  This forum can transcend the traditional panel format to address contemporary issues that bridge art and architectural history and practice.  The purpose of this message is to ask SAH members who may be interested in organizing the SAH-sponsored forum at CAA to submit a preliminary proposal to me by June 1, 2013.  Please include a description of the forum (no more than a page in length) with proposed participants and your CV. Please note participants in the 1.5 hour sessions do not have to be CAA members nor do they have to register for the conference. These sessions are free and open to the public.

If you have questions about the process, please feel free contact me via email at
