Swati Chattopadhyay: Named Guggenheim Fellow

Congratulations to Professor Swati Chattopadhyay who was just awarded a 2015 Guggenheim Fellowship for her distinguished work in the history of architecture, planning and design.  In its ninety-first competition for the United States and Canada, the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation has awarded 173 Fellowships (including two joint Fellowships) to a diverse group of 175 scholars, artists, and scientists. Appointed on the basis of prior achievement and exceptional promise, the successful candidates were chosen from a group of over 3,100 applicants.

Professor Chattobadhyay is the Department Chair, History of Art and Architecture at the University of California – Santa Barbara.  She has been an SAH member since 1998, and was the editor of JSAH from 2012-2014.
