2017 SAH Awards GalaThe Society of Architectural Historians was joined by 190 members of SAH and the Chicago architectural community at its 8th Annual Awards Gala on Friday, November 17, at The Racquet Club of Chicago. The Society presented the 2017 Awards for Architectural Excellence to Ralph Johnson, FAIA, retired Lt. Col. Jennifer Pritzker, and Sharon Johnston and Mark Lee. The event generated net proceeds over $105,000 to support SAH’s educational programs and publications.

Gala proceeds will provide funding support for our award-winning
Buildings of the United States book series and SAH Archipedia, our digital encyclopedia of architecture in the United States. Funds also support the ongoing restoration of SAH's landmark headquarters, the Charnley-Persky House.

We are grateful to our sponsors, attendees, and donors for helping us celebrate the contributions this year’s honorees have made to architectural stewardship, public engagement with the built environment, and design, planning, and sustainability. Thank you for supporting SAH's mission to promote the study, interpretation, and conservation of the built environment worldwide for the benefit of all.
