Your gift to Charnley-Persky House assists the Society of Architectural Historians in:
- Preserving and maintaining this unique architectural jewel now and for future generations
- Sharing the house with the public from around the world through tours and programming that promote the richness and prominence of Chicago’s architectural and cultural history
- Creating a living laboratory in which architectural students and others can experience firsthand the process of restoring a National Historic Landmark
Designed by Louis Sullivan and his draftsman Frank Lloyd Wright (1891–1892) for lumber baron James Charnley, Charnley-Persky House is a remarkable example of the transformation of Victorian residential architecture to the modern era.
SAH has begun work to restore and maintain critical components of the house identified in our Conservation Management Plan.
Your gift, of any amount, makes a difference. Thank you!
