This workshop considers Master’s thesis writing through various dimensions from thesis structure to content and time management. We will explore outlining, the fundamentals of introduction and conclusion writing, exercises for generating writing,
tools for assessing methodologies as well as techniques for efficient management of citations and figures.

Presenter Gabrielle Esperdy, Professor of Architecture at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, will host a frank, free-ranging conversation about the complexities of the architectural history job market, both present and future. We invite emerging
scholars, those pursuing careers outside academia, search committee members, and those nearing retirement to help us reconsider the way historians at all stages approach the hiring process.
