The SAH Mentorship Program supports members at pivotal moments in their career — whether they are just starting out, preparing for promotion, or considering significant career changes. Those seeking direction or ready to offer guidance are encouraged to apply for this enriching opportunity to engage with the SAH community.
Complete a survey about your profession/field, subject area of expertise, experience in particular geographic areas, and mentoring goals/strengths. Surveys for a given mentorship cycle are due on or about October 1 each year.
The mentorship program committee reviews all submitted surveys and finds for you a rewarding relationship partner. Pairings will be announced on or about November 1 each year.
To ensure everyone has a rewarding, thoughtful, and confidential experience, read and agree to the Program's guidelines. Forms are due before January 1 each year. See a sample agreement linked below.
Ask, listen, share, and discuss. Through at least six meetings over the 18-month period, mentees and mentors will share career challenges and opportunities from each of their perspectives.
SAH membership is required to participate in this program. Priority in matchmaking will be given to applicants who are active members. If you are a not yet a member and given a match, you will be asked to purchase a membership in addition to signing the program disclosure form to be eligible to participate. Please note that Affiliate Access passes do not qualify you for member benefits, and do not fulfill the membership requirements of this program.
Notice: While SAH will make every effort to match as many applicants as possible, we cannot guarantee that all applicants will receive a mentorship match. Not being matched is in no way a reflection on the value of your work; We simply may not have enough applicants to make complete pairs. If you are not matched in a given cohort, you are welcome to apply for the following year.
Mentorship relationships take place over a two-year cycle:

| November 1, 2025 | Applicants notified of mentor/mentee match. |
| December 1, 2025 | Signed disclosure form (mentorship agreement and code of conduct) due. |
| January 1, 2026 | Mentoring relationships begin. |
| April 15-19, 2026 | Mentorship Program event during SAH Annual Conference in Mexico City. |
August 31, 2027 | Mentorship program completion surveys sent to all participants. |
Applications for the 2027-28 cohort will open September 1, 2026.
