AGS offers one or more student scholarships to cover attendance at the Association's annual international conference on gravestone studies, this year at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, USA from June 18th to 23rd, 2024. The Association has a wide remit including the study of all types of gravemarker and cemetery, and the conference attracts art historians, archaeologists, social and military historians, anthropologists, architectural historians, artists, cemetery managers and practical preservationists. Winners are required to deliver a short paper or talk. This is a unique opportunity to meet and network with other students, early career researchers and established scholars, and is open to graduate and undergraduate students. The closing date for applications is March 29th.
