The
Society for the Study of Architecture in Canada is now accepting paper
proposals for its 49th annual conference on the theme: Forms of Repair: Care, Restoration, and Redress in the Built Environment.
The conference will open with a Wednesday evening reception, paper
sessions on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and a series of tours, and
evening events.
We invite researchers, professionals, and students
from any discipline whose work relates to the built environment in
Canada to submit an abstract relating to one of the following sessions.

Current Research
Please email your submission to ssac.2024.seac@gmail.com no later than Friday, March 8, 2024, and include: an abstract of no more that 300 words, a CV or biography, and note which session your proposal addresses.
Paper
proposals will be assessed by a scientific committee including session
chairs and members of the Society. Depending on available funds,
financial support for the travel expenses of students may be provided
following the conference. The SSAC supports inclusive dialogue and
encourages perspectives illuminating the influence and experience of
gendered and sexually diverse, BIPOC, and disabled communities.
The
2024 Conference will take place on Treaty One Territory, on the
original lands of Anishinaabeg, Ininew, Anisininew, Dakota, and Dene
peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. Winnipeg’s water is
sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation.
