Charnley-Persky House receives Business Interruption Grant

Dec 14, 2020 by SAH News

The Charnley-Persky House Museum Foundation is pleased to have received a $20,000 Business Interruption Grant (BIG) from Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. The BIG grant leverages federal funding provided by the CARES Act to help offset COVID-19 related losses for Illinois small businesses and nonprofits. The BIG grant will be used to assist with Charnley-Persky House utilities and operational costs. CPH has been closed for tours and programs since March 10, 2020, losing revenue from tours and events during our busiest spring and summer seasons, when architectural enthusiasts from around the world visit SAH’s National Landmark headquarters designed by Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright (1891–1892). We hope to reopen the house to the public in 2021.
