SAH Signs ASEEES Joint Statement of Opposition to Banning Scholars Based on Citizenship

The Society of Architectural Historians has signed a joint statement by the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies (BASEES), and the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (AATSEEL) opposing banning the participation of Russian and Belarusian scholars in scholarly events and scholarly exchange based on their citizenship. Founded in 1940, the Society of Architectural Historians is an international nonprofit membership organization that promotes the study, interpretation and conservation of architecture, design, landscapes and urbanism worldwide. SAH serves a network of local, national and international institutions and individuals who, by profession or interest, focus on the built environment and its role in shaping contemporary life.
