SAH Offers Indigenous Architecture Fellowship for 2024 Conference

The Society of Architectural Historians has recently initiated the SAH Indigenous Architecture Affiliate Group. In recognition and in the spirit of this action, SAH is offering several Indigenous Architecture Fellowships for attendance at the Society of Architectural Historians 2024 Annual International Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, April 17-21.

Scholars and graduate students researching and writing on Indigenous architecture as well as practitioners working with Indigenous communities are invited to apply.

The fellowship will cover the following:

  • Conference Registration Fee
  • Boxed Lunch on Thursday and Friday of conference
  • SAH membership for one year (including digital version of JSAH)

Scholars working on all types of related interests are encouraged to apply, especially graduate students, Indigenous scholars, faculty, and community advocates. We seek all candidates doing work related to Indigenous architecture, but we are especially interested in supporting Indigenous students, scholars, and Elders.  To be considered, please submit a 300-word proposal with your contact information, status as a student, faculty or practitioner and a 2-page CV by end of day Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
