Anna Andrzejewski, professor of architectural history at UW–Madison, has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the university's first-ever Frank Lloyd Wright Professorship in Modern American Architecture. The creation of the professorship is endowed by alumnus Dan Erdman and coincides with the celebration of the Department of Art History’s 100th Anniversary.
Andrzejewski, who became an SAH member in 1998 and has chaired several panels and committees, will hold the professorship for three years. She will teach an upper-level undergraduate course on Frank Lloyd Wright focused on his work in Madison and also plans to study several other Wright-related research topics, including the work of Wright’s students, the school that he founded at Taliesin, and Wright’s work on sustainable architecture.
