Charnley-Persky House to Participate in Blue Star Museums

by SAH News | Mar 11, 2019

The Charnley-Persky House Museum is pleased to participate with other Chicago institutions in the National Endowment for the Arts summer program Blue Star Museums.

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,500 museums across the country. First launched in the summer of 2010, Blue Star Museums offers free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families during the summer at participating museums. This program makes it possible for military families to enjoy cultural sites and activities together in recognition of their military service.

Complimentary Saturday tours will be available to Blue Star families on Saturdays, starting May 18 through September 2, 2019, incorporated into the regular Saturday tour schedule (10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.). Contact Anne Bird ( for reservations.
