The Old Post Office (433 W. Van Buren Street, Chicago)
On November 5th, the Society of Architectural Historians will honor the team behind one of Chicago’s most ambitious projects, the historic rehabilitation of The Old Post Office, once the largest post office in the United States. Save the date and celebrate in person at The Old Post Office with SAH! Tickets will be available in September.
SAH Celebrates (formerly the SAH Awards Gala) raises funds to support the Society’s educational programs and publications, including SAH Archipedia, the Society’s online encyclopedia of the built environment of the United States, and the award-winning Buildings of the United States book series. Proceeds also help support the restoration of the Charnley-Persky House (1891–92), designed by Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright, which serves as SAH’s international headquarters in Chicago.
