SAHGB Visual Representation in Architectural History Lightning Rounds

SAHGB Lightning Rounds: Visual Representation in Architectural History
Friday 7 & 21 May 4-6pm on Zoom

Join the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain for an afternoon exploring architectural history through alternative media and methodologies. From Minecraft to cartography and film, four post-graduate researchers will share their work in short presentations followed by discussion with a panel of critics.
The 7 May lightning round session seeks to explore research presentation and the ways in which varying technologies and modes of representation can themselves be the product of research. Our speakers will explore logistical media, collage and minecraft as new media for architectural research. Sign up on the website here.
The 21 May session explores unconventional architectural history research methodologies, from digital cartography and photogrammetry to oral histories, literary sources and film, researchers will share their work in short sessions followed by discussion with the panel and guests. Sign up for this session here.
