The Princeton-Mellon Initiative in Architecture, Urbanism, and the Humanities seeks fellows with an abiding interest in multi-disciplinary work to teach or team-teach an interdisciplinary course on some aspect of urbanism and participate in Princeton-Mellon Initiative events. Candidates can come from any discipline. They may be academics, designers, and/or practicing writers or artists. The position starts September 2021.

Pennsylvania State University Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow
Penn State’s College of Arts and Architecture together with the College of Liberal Arts is offering a twelve-month, full-time postdoctoral appointment from July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022 in association with an Andrew W. Mellon Sawyer Seminar “Transmission, Containment, Transformation: A Comparative Approach to Architecture and Contagion in Early Modern Cities.”
Tufts University Assistant Professor Ancient or Medieval Art and Architecture
The Department of History of Art and Architecture at Tufts University invites applications to fill a full‐time faculty position at the rank of assistant professor, starting in September 2021 in the field of Ancient or Medieval art and architecture. Particular interest in issues of cultural heritage, digital humanities, the history of technology, premodern race-making and diasporas,and cultural exchanges/ interactions. Primary region of focus is open. Teach four courses a year, from broad undergraduate surveys to graduate seminars, and advise at both the undergraduate and MA levels.
Middlebury College Assistant Professor of Studio Art of Sculpture (Tenure Track)
The Program in Studio Art invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Sculpture for Fall 2021. The successful candidate will be expected to teach four classes from intro thru advanced including the possibility of teaching the Advanced Studio Thesis class; two of these classes are to be cross listed with Black Studies. To this end, candidates should be an artist whose work is centered on sculpture as a contemporary practice, possesses extensive and demonstrable skills with traditional 3-D processes, has fluency with the material culture of the African Diaspora, as well as interest in areas such as (but not limited to): installation, video, audio, performance, hybrid, and emerging art forms.

The University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK) invites applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the College of Architecture + Design. The dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the college, reporting directly to the provost, and collaborates daily with diverse stakeholders in the college, such as students, faculty and staff, as well as alumni, donors, parents, community leaders and university administration. The dean is responsible for being familiar with the complexities and opportunities associated with the status of a public land-grant institution and prioritizes and encourages projects that further our access mission.
