We are reaching out to invite you to be part of our project about design research in architecture education. This is a follow-up study from an exploratory survey of architecture librarians that we conducted in 2023. The goal of this research is to learn directly from practitioners about how they are supporting the complexity of design research methods in architecture. The outcomes from the study will hopefully lead to enhanced library support models and services for design research that can be used by librarians and information professionals at architecture and design schools—and potentially applied to other non-architecture design disciplines. As librarians and archivists supporting architecture students, your opinion and perspective is essential.
If you participate in this project, you will be asked to participate in a zoom interview with us, Tess Colwell and Jessica Quagliaroli, to discuss your work supporting architecture students in their research. It will take you roughly 45 minutes to participate in the research. Interviews are anonymous and identifying information will be excluded from any reports.
Participation is voluntary, but we hope you will choose to be part of this project! You will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for a gift card for your participation. Yale University Institutional Review Board has approved this study.
