SAH Architectural Studies Affiliate Group Quarterly Conversation

When the Architectural Studies Affiliate Group was formed in 2020 it generated a buzz in the SAH community, and it quickly became a vital meeting place for faculty teaching in Architectural Studies programs. Our earliest Quarterly Conversations were characterized by energy and blue-sky thinking about Architectural Studies, offering an informal space for sharing ideas, discussing challenges, and brainstorming innovative approaches.

This first meeting of the 2025-2026 season attempts to recapture that informal, energetic spirit. Instead of focusing on a predetermined theme, we see this as a public-facing forum for participants to dream big about the future of Architectural Studies.  Discover what the Architectural Studies Affiliate Group is all about and come prepared with questions to pose to the group.  What new ideas have occurred to you recently as ways of transforming your own program?  How can Architectural Studies programs uniquely address the changing landscape of architectural education, the various institutional settings in which we work and other contexts?  What new challenges have you discovered at your own institutions, and what strategies have you developed to address these challenges? What do you think is the future of Architectural Studies education?
